First of Many #AtoZBlogging

They earned quiet a bit, but still every month end they struggled to  meet the ends. This  month she got a small bonus and he got an incentive as well. Their happiness was at the peak because they could see the prospect of buying their first Air Conditioner.

They went to the nearest  shop and naively asked simple questions. It was a big purchase and they wanted to be sure of doing it all right.

After 4 years of marriage,  it is lovely to have firsts like these. They instill your faith.

The days were more bearable and nights, more cozy.

Everyday, but not today #AtoZChallenge

He found a cozy little space for her, called home. Everyday they would toil hard and dream of starting a family soon.

They started to observe a nuisance maker. She would not let them live in even for one day.

She  had a machine that made terrible noise everyday and it used to look ghastly while it was plugged.

They were determined and did not budge. They made a mess in her home, to teach a lesson.

One day a man came with more tools and a black net.

That was the end of pigeon tales in my dry area.

“Oh wow good to see you today. Welcome to Pune office.”

“Hey this is great,  will get to see you at the toastmasters session.”

“Hi, seeing you after a long time. Your face has changed.”, he said staring at her chest. “So you have kids?” “No.” She said. “Ohh running after your careers. Good, but theings must happen at their right time.” he said and she slipped away after that statement.

The happiness of being at work = Definitely asked for.

A reminder of a lost pregnancy = Definitely not asked for.

Are men asked the same question about  having children?

Negative.

Crude Truth #AtoZChallenge

She happily put on a pair of shorts and a red t-shirt while Air conditioner shopping. While they were fiddling between brands and specifications, someone tapped on her shoulder.

“Please don’t feel bad about what I am going to say to you.” she thought, “Dang! its the shorts.” “I was like you 9 months before but after I started taking herbalife I lost 25kg. You should try it.”

She smiled meekly and the  lady gave her a pamphlet. She was too stunned to say anything.

She had been walking and eating healthy, she didn’t want to hear those words.

They hurt.

Big Pool, Small feet #AtoZChallenge

b

The pool had been not functioning for the last 3 days; those were the most challenging days for the parents. The summers have just set in at Mumbai and it feels like its peak.

Finally when they allowed swimming in the pool from Sunday evening onward, parents came in tow with the young ones. All one could hear was “move the arms, move the feet” , “Both have to work together”, “why cant you follow?”.

Finally when they master the trick to even swim a few centimeters, joy is unparalleled.

Many can use the same happiness. Go on, help them.

A boy and 7 girls #AtoZChallenge

A

On a warm Saturday afternoon, 8 children were playing cricket in the court. While the adults were sweating profusely, the kids were happy learning the game that is the heartbeat of the Nation.

Only on close observation one could understand that the batsman/coach was a boy and other 7 players were girls. They were trying to learn how to bowl, field and catch. The young ones were fast but lacked time-speed coordination when it comes to the catching the ball.

The Boy would not give the girls the bat but would teach them to respect the ball first.

Times are changing. Yes.
